The UST-1000 is a manual feedwheel tensioner for tensioning steel strap on round or irregular loads.
The UST-1000 is a push-type feedwheel tensioner. Feed the strap through the tool and ratchet it down to bring it to tension. It's built for round or irregular loads. Strap range is 3/8" to 3/4", putting this in the regular-duty bracket for steel processors, steel mills, and service centers that run manual tools as their primary tensioner or keep one as a backup to pneumatic or battery equipment.

Reach for the UST-1000 when you need a regular-duty feedwheel tensioner in the 3/8"-3/4" range but want a manual tool, either as your primary or as a backup to pneumatic or battery gear. It matches the spec range of the bronze Signode PF (0.017"-0.023", 3/8"-3/4" strap), which Signode no longer produces, so the UST-1000 covers that same spec range as a currently available tool.
