FROMM A482 Pneumatic Combination Strapping Tool - 3/4" High Tensile Steel (Item 13.4620)
The FROMM A482 (Item 13.4620) is a pneumatic combination strapping tool used to tension, seal, and cut 3/4" high tensile steel strap on coils, bundles, pipe, and other round or irregular loads.
Run this on loads that don't sit flat - coils, bundled bar stock, pipe, and other round or irregular shapes where a base-mounted tool can't get a clean pull. The A482 is a push-type tool: it feeds a closed (pusher) seal onto the strap, then tensions, forms a double notch upcut joint through the seal, and cuts. You'll need to stock a compatible closed/overlap seal alongside the tool - it's not a sealless system. It's a common fit for steel service centers, tube mills, and metal fabricators running 3/4" high tensile strap at volume.

We reach for the A482 first on 3/4" high tensile jobs that need real tension - tube mills and steel service centers running this width at volume are the most common fit we see. It pulls close to the same tension as the comparable Signode PRHR-34 at less than half the weight (15.4 lbs vs. 34 lbs), which matters if the tool's getting picked up and moved all day instead of run off a counterbalance. For 3/4" work that doesn't need the full 1,570 lbs of pull, we point customers to a different tool built for regular duty - the A482 is worth its cost specifically for the high-tensile, high-volume jobs.
